Last Thursday 1st December, Gabinete Técnico Farmacéutico M. Camps and Azierta organised, with the collaboration of Beauty Cluster Barcelona, a webinar on Annex XVI of the new Medical Devices Regulation, related to aesthetic products and equipment.
The imminent legislative changes that are imminent for beauty salons, fully affected by the entry into force of the new Medical Devices Regulation 2017/745 are attracting more and more attention among the leaders and managers of the sector. On the other hand, as specialists in the regulation of medical devices, it is our duty to make aesthetics companies aware of how the new regulation will affect day-to-day management of its staff, equipment and facilities.
To this end, the Gabinete Técnico Farmacéutico M. Camps and consultancy Azierta organised a training webinar, in cooperation with our colleagues from the Beauty Cluster Barcelona.
Training webinar: An approach to Annex XVI of Regulation 2017/745
The training talk took place online and live on the Zoom platform. Y between 10 and 11.30 a.m. on Thursday, 1 December for a large group of around 50 digital assistants.
The webinar started with the following programme:
- 10:00 - New medical devices regulation. Description, status and outlook
- 11:00 - Questions and doubts to the speakers
- 11:30 - End of the day
Participation in the training Webinar: New medical devices regulation was free of charge - by invitation only, of course. And the participants were mainly members of Beauty Cluster Barcelona or technicians of the sector -regulatory managers and other professionals from beauty centres, manufacturers, importers and distributors of aesthetic equipment and products.
To give the explanations, a team of top-class expert speakers:
- Mercè Camps, CEO and founder of the Technical Pharmaceutical Cabinet MCamps
- Olegario Cuevas, Healthcare Business Manager at Azierta
Our Assessment of the Webinar
The webinar, which was followed by almost 60 people (at the end), was very well received by the technicians and managers who followed the course. In addition, after the explanations by Mercè Camps and Olegario Cuevas, there was a 30-minute round of questions from the audience, in which some of the attendees' doubts were answered.
We believe that online training, in this sense, offers us a great opportunity. We are in the midst of the second wave of coronaviruses in Spain, and with an uncertain medium-term future for social relations. It is therefore advisable to stimulate training methods that are distance learning and that, obviously, allow the security of teachers and students to be maintained.
We would first like to thank Olegario Cuevas and the entire Azierta team for their collaboration in organising the webinar. In fact, this is one of the first initiatives that have been taken forward within the alliance established between GTF M. Camps and consultancy Azierta for the Medical Devices sector. And we value the joint experience very positively.
And on the other hand, to thank Beauty Cluster Barcelona for having decided to schedule and disseminate this masterclass on aesthetics legislation among its partners. We would also like to congratulate your team for facilitating the use of your online platform for the training and your assistance during the session. We look forward to collaborate in the future in other activities of the cluster for the cosmetics and medical devices sectors.
