What laboratory tests will the cosmetic products I want to certify as halal be subjected to?
The certification of your cosmetic product as ‘halal cosmetics’ in Aquimisa Pharma's laboratories consists of two procedures:
- Investigation for the presence of pigmeat, with a limit of detection of 0.0005%. It affects all products containing less than 0.0005% of pork and pork derivatives. If the cosmetic does not contain this ingredient it meets the conditions to be certified as halal cosmetics.
- Investigation of residual alcohol, with a detection limit of 0.05% v/v. All products containing less than 0.05% of alcohol meet the conditions to be certified as halal cosmetics.
