What does this legal obligation entail?
Last March the BOE published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) the ROYAL DECREE 239/2026, which amends the ROYAL DECREE 1277/2003 which applies to health centres.
This amendment Strengthens document control obligations, The new law provides that each health care facility must have at its disposal Up-to-date and reliable information that the care activity is carried out Exclusively for professionals holding an official qualifying qualification and possessing the appropriate skills.
Requirements for the individualised record per professional
Every healthcare centre must have a Individual profile for each healthcare professional, to include:
• Qualifying academic qualification
• Specialism (if applicable)
• Membership number
• Relevant further training
• Healthcare services provided
• Unit or department in which you work
Deadline for complying with the legal obligation
The regulation establishes an adaptation period, and all documentation must be in place:
