The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Healthcare Products (AEMPS) unveiled its new product on 13 May AEMPS Quarterly Bulletin on medical devices and cosmetics. In this publication, readers will find information on developments in legislation governing cosmetics and medical devices, published technical and scientific documents, the monitoring and control activities carried out by the AEMPS in these sectors, and other information of interest.
The first issue, which was published in May but covers all the information on cosmetics and medical devices generated between January and March – the first quarter of 2016 – introduces this new bulletin and provides an initial report on the sector. The structure, which is likely to be retained in subsequent reports, is as follows: information on medical devices is provided first, followed by that on cosmetics; within both sectors, the content is divided into three sections: legislation, surveillance and control, and other information of interest.
