The Good Morning MedTech conference, organised by Business France, was held on Thursday 4 May. Throughout the morning, several health technology companies met at the Crowne-Plaza Hotel (ExFira Palace) to talk about cooperation, Spain-France relations and internationalisation of the sector.
Business France is part of the French diplomatic network in Spain. The institution's objectives are to support French exporting companies and the establishment of foreign companies in France. In short, it mediates between French and foreign companies to promote imports and exports in France. Business France has also been, for several years, a collaborating entity with GTF M. Camps. Our consultancy has long supported the French entity, offering solutions to regulatory issues in the healthcare sector.
Good Morning MedTech Information Seminars: introducing the Spanish market to French companies
From 9am to 11am, the Information Seminars were conducted by Spanish specialists in the sector. The first to speak was César Rubio, Digital Health Coordinator at the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (FENIN). Rubio spoke about the current state of the healthcare technology market and the situation of digital health in Spain. He offered a wealth of statistical data on the functioning of the sector and its current position.
Afterwards, it was the turn of Mercè Camps, director of the Technical Pharmaceutical Office M. Camps. The veteran consultant in Regulatory Affairs, gave a conference in which she talked about the marketing of Medical Devices in Spain and addressed the changes that are coming after the approval of the new Regulations for Medical Devices and In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD's).
B2B at Good Morning MedTech
After the Information Seminars, several presentations of medtech companies were held before a panel of experts, and a networking workshop was held to encourage contact between Spanish and French companies in the sector. Finally, there was a space to work in B2B with those attending the event.
