On 22 July, the doctors Joan Massagué, Josep Baselga y Manell Esteller received the Catalonia International Prize presented by the President of the Generalitat, Carles Puigdemont. We at GTF would like to congratulate the three Catalan scientists on this award, which is given to individuals who promote cultural, scientific and human values.
We would also like to point out that Dr Joan Massagué holds a degree in Pharmacy, meaning that, for once, the award has not gone solely to the field of medicine, but also to the pharmaceutical sector. Finally, we would like to thank the Government of Catalonia for promoting this kind of recognition amongst the Catalan scientific community.
