{"id":2696,"date":"2017-02-16T12:04:42","date_gmt":"2017-02-16T11:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcamps.com\/?p=2696"},"modified":"2017-02-16T12:06:25","modified_gmt":"2017-02-16T11:06:25","slug":"boletin-trimestral-aemps-ps-cosmeticos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcamps.com\/eng\/boletin-trimestral-aemps-ps-cosmeticos\/","title":{"rendered":"New AEMPS Quarterly Newsletter on PS and Cosmetics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 6 February, the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products published its <em>AEMPS Quarterly Bulletin on Medical Devices and Cosmetics. <\/em>This is the issue corresponding to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aemps.gob.es\/informa\/boletines-AEMPS\/boletinPS-COS\/2016\/docs\/4-boletin-trimestral-octubre-diciembre-16.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">October\u2013December 2016<\/a>. It is a summary of the Agency\u2019s activities, which has been published regularly for the past few months, and which is of great interest as it is an official source of information on our sector. Here at GTF, we recommend consulting these reports, as the Agency is the main public regulatory body for cosmetics and medical devices. As such, everything it publishes is official in nature and affects us in one way or another.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>AEMPS Quarterly Bulletin: Medical Devices<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For those who decide to follow our advice, this latest Quarterly Bulletin contains a number of news items of interest regarding medical devices. In the area of legislation, the publication discusses the update to the Clinical Evaluation Guidelines, the MEDDEV Guidelines, at European level. Under \u2018Surveillance and Control\u2019, there is a list of all the notices issued by the AEMPS regarding medical devices during that quarter. \u00a0And in the \u2018Other Information of Interest\u2019 section, details on the Second Meeting of the agency\u2019s Medical Devices Committee. There is also a range of information on IT applications in the medical devices sector and the sector\u2019s involvement in scientific and public awareness activities.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>AEMPS Quarterly Bulletin: Cosmetics <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>With regard to the cosmetics sector, the \u2018Legislation\u2019 section lists the latest publications of new versions of regulatory documents, all of which relate to the Declaration of Conformity. Under \u2018Monitoring and Control\u2019, reference is made to Rapex alerts and a list is published of the 17 cosmetic products withdrawn during the last quarter of 2016. In this regard, we would like to remind you that GTF has drawn up a <a href=\"https:\/\/mcamps.com\/eng\/memoria-rapex-2016-infografia\/\">annual report<\/a> on European alerts.
