For some time now -and with increasing emphasis- dermatologists and pharmacists have been making people aware of the need to maintain a sensible and responsible attitude towards the sun. Not only in summer but at all times of the year. It is important in fact to protect ourselves every time we go out into the street.
The most frequent consequence of bad exposure to the sun is sunburn. Sunburn, when mild, causes reddening or sensitivity on the skin, affecting the most superficial layers. But if the exposure is more intense, damage may occur in the deeper layers, reaching the dermis in the case of second-degree burns that may be accompanied by blisters, edema and pain.
That is why it is so important to follow the advice of the expert voices. Remember:
- Never get your skin exposed directly to the sun rays. Use the adequate sunscreen for your skin type to protect you.
- Avoid the hours of máximum solar radiation. And if you can't due to your working responsabilities, use protection clothes such as gloves and a protective visor or hat.
